Biography

Dr. Browne received his Bachelor of Science (2007) and PhD (2012) in Mathematics from Ë÷Äá×ÊÔ´Íø of Florida. His PhD dissertation, which is in the area of mathematical biology, was directed by Sergei Pilyugin. Upon completion of his Ph.D. in 2012, he began a postdoctoral fellowship in the Mathematics Department at Ë÷Äá×ÊÔ´Íø of Ottawa in Canada. Next in 2013, he moved to a postdoctoral professorship in the Mathematics Department at Vanderbilt Ë÷Äá×ÊÔ´Íø. In 2015, he became Assistant Professor in Mathematics at Ë÷Äá×ÊÔ´Íø.

Student Research/Collaboration

Research Interests: Mathematical Biology, Mathematical Modeling, Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems. Current work focuses on application of differential equations and dynamical systems to modeling population dynamics and evolution of infectious diseases, both within-host and between-host.
